Job Description

A very well established mining machinery manufacturing company based on the East Rand requires an Accountant and Administrator for a temporary position.

This position is for an all-rounder with strong administrative capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Full debtors and creditors function
  • Cash book for technical services
  • Month end reports
  • Month end procedures (e.g. amorts, depreciation, salary journals, etc.)
  • Verify costings received from VIP reports, amend if needed
  • Monitor and correct entries on GL accountsIntercompany loan account: cleared and balanced
  • Follow up and obtain ameded PO’s
  • Obtain weekly time and attendance, overtime register with support clocking’s and leave forms
  • Summarise monthly register for HR and client quoting
  • Quote and administrate the required transactions with Clients
  • Manage quotes and orders on various portals between the company and mining sites
  • Follow up with sites / mines to obtain order numbers
  • Submit invoices and manage approvals
  • Confirm and manage invoice payments
  • Schedule vehicles for services and other maintenance
  • Manage and verify all internal recoveries and get relevant approval
  • Liaise with site contract managers, data capturers and branches on various matters
  • Manage PPE requests for each site
  • Compile / manage technical services financial pack for EXCO meetings
  • Verify expense claims
  • Design and maintain weekly & monthly technical services status reports
  • Handle purchasing requests from site (e.g. tools, medicals, induction, etc.), complete requests and arrange EFT after approval.

Requirements

  • Matric and accounting qualification
  • Experience in the same or a similar industry
  • Computer literate
  • Must have exceptional administration skills
